Hiring A Contractor

When hiring a contractor you should know a few things. Low on the list is how much he will charge for the work you want done. Remember, low price seldom equates to quality work. WOW! ain't that the truth!

The old adage "you get what you pay for" is true once again when it comes to contractors. Yet another reason to be very careful to do your homework as some people get absolutely nothing for what they thought they were paying for. They failed to do their homework and the contractor never returned after getting a substantial down payment for work he was to perform.

Following are a series of questions designed to reveal to you the qualifications, history and trustworthiness of the contractor you propose to use. Just because he's your next door neighbor doesn't mean you should bypass these questions.

In the White Mountains region I have seen a lot of work done by All Custom Exteriors, Inc. I know the owners and have met most of their crew members. That is in addition to the Manufacturer’s warranty for materials used.

A.C.E. will provide a THREE year warranty for installation workmanship.This is in addition to the manufacturers warranty for materials used.
Industry standard is one year.
