Metal Roofing Price

The energy savings you will experience reduces metal roofing price!
Yes, reduced!

Energy costs with metal roofing, versus that of a conventional asphalt roof, will be about 20% to 30% lower, some claim up to 40% in savings. Where we live our energy bills are about the same all year around, heating in the winter and air conditioning in the summer.

Save $15,000!
In other words, for every $100 per month spent for energy with a conventional roof, I expect it will cost $20 to $30 less with a metal roof, or 20% to 30% in savings. So let's split the difference and say that for every $100 in current energy expenses per month you only save $25, or 25%, per month with a metal roof.

Over the lifetime of your metal roof, we'll assume 50 years, a 25% savings in energy adds up to be about $15,000 for every $100 you now spend per month in energy expenses, not taking into consideration any inflation whatsoever. That's just the energy savings! And, that's the savings in comparison to an asphalt-shingled roof!

Your $15,000 in savings is based on currently spending an average of $100 per month in energy expenses or costs. If anything I think these numbers are conservative – you are probably spending more for heating and air-conditioning and a metal roof will probably reduce your costs by more than our estimated 25% in savings.

These savings happen when you install a metal roof. You increase your savings with a “COOL ROOF”. Let me back up one step. With asphalt shingle the heat is absorbed into the roofing material and is collected in your attic warming your home. A metal roof reflects the radiant heat keeping your home cooler in the summer. A “Cool Roof”, simply put, has a coating that will reflect up to 90% of the radiant heat, dependent on the color chosen.
